This is my journey with my prophylactic double mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction on January 6th, 2009. I have appointed several reporters to fill in while I'm not attached to my computer (as I normally am). I'm sure they will keep you informed, calmed and amused! Bookmark it, and leave comments - we would love to hear from you!

Thanks, Julie. Maybe I'll stop holding my breath soon.
Thanks to my sis, Zeena, I'm right up to speed re Hayley's progress and I'm so happy the news is gooood. I continue to send positive thoughts and prayers soaring toward Hayley and I know Gee Gee put in a few good words as well.
Thanks very much for the updates. I'm glad I'm not the only one holding their breath.
All of us at KING VENTURES are sending LOVE and HUGS to Hayley and Tim.
I am sooo glad everything is going well!! Love you guys. BR
So happy to hear things are going well....of course they will with all these amazing family members and friends....I can't wait to start lingerie shopping for Hayley!!! love you all..
Today, Shannon and I went up to visit Hayley, queen of the critical care unit. She was wide awake, bright eyed and probably bushy-tailed. She looked fabulous!
However, one of us might have mentioned that this is the most subdued we have ever seen her: pain pump, 5 ivs, leg massager thingies, bunch of monitors, sore throat, dry mouth and yah she was probably pretty tired. She held the pillow down hard on her tender tum tum, as not to giggle, and muttered "you assholes" so you can see she is her wonderful and baeautiful self!
Wishing you a speedy recovery Hayley!
Wow, isn't technology awesome?! Here I am in Los Osos, checking Bye-Bye Boobies every few hours to make sure that Hayley continues to do so well and being able to go through her & Tim's journey with all of you.
Thanks so much to Tim & Julie for the updates and to all of you for your comments. Margerie, your "pillow on the tum-tum and Hayley muttering
obscenities :-)" was perfect. That's Hayley! ...Sense of humor even when in pain!
Tim, I hope you get a full night's sleep! I look forward to your update when I get up in the morning.
Good-night all! Pat
